Camp Promising Acres Director: Kimberly Bevilacqua, aka "Dragonfly"
Girl Scouts has been a part of my life for a very long time. I first joined as a Junior and bridged to a Cadette. I also spent a few summers at Camp Hoffman as an overnight camper. Girl Scouts followed me into adulthood. I was a Troop Leader from 1990 until 2013. My journey at Camp Promising Acres began in 2000 as Unit Leader. The following year I took on the role as Assistant Program Director until I was promoted to Program Director in 2003. I enjoyed thirteen summers as Program Director. Last summer I accepted the position of Camp Director and I am very excited to return! In addition to camp, I became a trainer for the Girl Scout Council and I now teach Troop Camp Training to other Troop Leaders. I also became a Camp Ranger at Camp Hoffman and have started to create new programs for troops to attend. I am so thankful for everything that Girl Scouts has given me over these many rewarding years. I am thrilled to be Camp Director to continue my amazing journey at camp.
