Camp Hoffman Director: Mary Lawhead, aka "Bear"
I have been a Girl Scout most of my life. When I was growing up, my troop leader always took us to the Girl Scout camp in our council, where I began to fall in love with camping. I began working at Girl Scout camps in 2010 and became involved in Girl Scouting again because of my time at camp. Most recently, I was one of the camp directors for Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland. During the non-summer months, I work in outdoor education programs and travel. Originally from Michigan, I am excited to spend a summer in Rhode Island and experience life on the East Coast. My hobbies include photography, camping, crafting, and Girl Scout history. My oldest handbook is ALMOST as old as Hoffman, going back to 1927! I am very excited to be joining Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England and to carry on the rich legacy of Camp Hoffman!
