What Troops Earn

Troop Proceeds

Per Girl Average* Per Package Proceeds
1-99 46 cents
100-159 50 cents
160-199 60 cents
200 or more 70 cents

Older Girl Proceeds

Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Girl Scout troops may select to receive additional proceeds by opting out of the main (final) girl recognition program. Older Girl Troops who opt out of receiving recognitions will receive the following:

Per Girl Average* Award Amount Per Girl Who Sold
100-199.99 $10.00
200-299.99 $20.00
300-399.99 $30.00
400 or more $40.00

The Troop Leader must submit a signed older girl permission slip with their final payment to the council for every girl in that troop in order to receive additional proceeds and it must be a decision made by the entire troop. Troops who choose this option give up the ability to receive Girl Recognition Items and to use cookie camp credits. Multilevel troops only qualify for the Older Girl Proceeds if the entire troop are Cadettes or older. A separate proceeds check will be mailed to the leader at the completion of the sale.

*All Per Girl Averages are based on registered girls in the troop. Older Girl Proceeds distributed are based on the number of girls who participate in the sale.

What are Summer Camp Cookie Credits?

All registered girls earn 20 cents per package that may be applied to the cost of attending GSSNE Summer Camp. Credits may be pooled by sisters in the same family. This cookie sale, Summer Camp Cookie Credits will not be allowed to be transferred outside of families. This change is allowing us to offer more proceeds per package to all troops without raising the per package cost of cookies.

What is Cookie Dough?

Cookie Dough is a monetary credit that is an option for girls to select in lieu of recognitions at certain sales levels. These credits can be used in our council shop, applied to GSSNE Summer Camp, or towards a girl membership for the 2019 troop year. Cookie Dough expires on 9/30/18 and is nontransferable.

Cookie Sale Online Marketing Policy

The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-led business in the world. Please use the following GSUSA guidelines for girl online marketing during the Girl Scout Product Sales Programs:

  • Girls must read and accept the Girl Scouts Internet Safety Pledge before they can participate in the Smart Cookies Online Cookie Program and online marketing of their cookie sale. Parents/guardians of girls must read and accept the Terms and Conditions for Parents/Guardians of Girl Scouts before their daughter can participate in the Smart Cookies Online Cookie Program and online marketing.
  • Girls who are 13 years old or older may use social networking sites to market product, but must follow council and GSUSA guidelines.
  • For girls under 13 years old, a parent/guardian must manage the girl’s Smart Cookies account and be responsible for all content and information posted.
  • Girls sending out product emails or announcements online should sign with their first names only, their troop/group number or name and their council name. Personal e-mails, phone numbers, or street addresses of girls should never be used for contacting or responding to customers.
  • Girls may only post about their participation in the Smart Cookies Program on social media sites that allow them to restrict access to friends and family (ex. Facebook), and not to social media sites open to anyone (ex. Craigslist or e-Bay).
  • Girls can only share the link to their Smart Cookies site with people they know in real life.
  • Due to the fact that the Cookie Program is a girl-led business, friends and family may share girl post or links, but may not personally sell cookies themselves (for example, it is ok to say “my daughter is selling Girl Scout cookies, please contact her to purchase”. Adults cannot say “I am selling Girl Scout cookies”)

The safety of our members is always our first priority. Please remember to be a sister to every Girl Scout during the cookie sale, and at all times. Public sales outside of your service unit should first be cleared with the Product Sales Coordinator in that service unit.

Bling Your Booth!
Bling Your Booth is Back!

All you have to do is Stand Up and Stand Out to create a booth that will get you noticed!

To enter the Bling Your Booth contest your troop will need to do the following:

• Book your booth between February 2nd and March 18th.

• Submit your booth information to GSSNE to put it on the Booth Locator.

• Booths must include the following:

1. A visual display that shows the public your troop’s goals and the 2018 cookie sale theme
2. Your troop plans for proceeds that you will earn by participating in the sale
3. Information about Cookie Share and the 2018 Council Service Project
4. The Five Skills that girls learn while participating in the sale

• Take photos of your troop in action at your booth and share them on GSSNE’s Facebook page, it is all about the votes! Once your photo has been submitted, share it with family and friends to get the most likes! Don’t forget to include your troop information and the date of your sale when you submit your photos. And remember, one entry per troop.

• The deadline for voting is April 2, 2018. The troop with the most likes, who meets all of the criteria for the contest, will receive a $50 gift card to the GSSNE shop or a $50 credit off a troop camping weekend at one of our GSSNE camps.
