National Girl Scout Week!

Did you know that Girl Scouts is turning 105 years old on March 12? What an incredible history of tradition and girls' leadership! Girl Scout Week is celebrated every March, starting with Girl Scout Sunday and ending with Girl Scout Sabbath on a Saturday, and it always includes the Girl Scouts' birthday. This is the week to show off your Girl Scout pride!

Sunday, March 12: Happy Birthday to us! Celebrate by sharing your favorite Girl Scout memory, tradition, or experience.

If you're a Girl Scout in a faith-based community, we encourage you to check out the My Promise, My Faith pins that girls can earn! These awards complement existing religious recognitions and allow girls to further strengthen the connection between their faith and Girl Scouts. We also encourage you to wear your Girl Scout uniform to your place of worship on this special day! Check out more information HERE.

Monday, March 13: Today is Family Day. Enjoy spending some special time with your family! How can you give thanks to your family members and make them feel loved?

Tuesday, March 14: Thank a Girl Scout volunteer today! Is there a special troop leader, camp counselor, or other Girl Scout mentor in your life? Give them a handwritten card or call them to let them know how they've changed your life and made a difference.

Wednesday, March 15: Did you know the Girl Scout sisterhood not only stretches across the United States but spans the entire world, too?

Girl Scouts of the USA is part of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS, for short), which includes 10 million girls in 146 countries. And all of those girls in all of those countries are working to make the world a better place!

Thursday, March 16: Girl Scouts are Innovators: They think outside the box and always look for a creative way to take action. Today, we hope you build, create, or design something! You can also comment on this post to VOTE on which of these 3 STEAM focus areas is most interesting to you: computer science, engineering, or Outdoor STEAM.

Friday, March 17: Girl Scout have a long tradition of loving the outdoors and seeking adventure. Get outside and explore the world around you today!*

Saturday, March 18: Girl Scouts regularly give back to their communities, and to celebrate that tradition, today's the day to share an act of service with your local town! How will you help out your community? 

If you celebrate the Girl Scout Sabbath, we hope that you'll wear your uniform and help with spiritual services in some way.
