Change in Office and Shop Hours!
The Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England (GSSNE) Board of Directors have approved new personnel policies to include a change in office and shop hours. Effective January 1, 2017, the council office is fully staffed Monday - Thursday from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (including the shop); and on Fridays from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. Customer care support and the retail shop will be open from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm on Fridays. The shop will also continue to be open Saturdays from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
This change comes at an exciting time for GSSNE as we transition into the new Customer Engagement Initiative (CEI) being implemented in all Girl Scout councils across the country. We have developed a "solutions library" that hopefully includes the answers to 90% of all customer questions. Our goal is that customers (girls, parents, volunteers, and the general public) will be able to get an immediate answer to all but the most challenging questions through our customer care team. Our other staff members will then be able to focus the majority of their time providing other valuable services such as troop support, program delivery, volunteer training and enrichment services, and the development of community partnerships to support service delivery.
As we make this transition we need your help! When you call the office please ask our customer care team representatives your question—this way we can begin to test our solutions library and most importantly, you will get an immediate answer!
