In 2017, as a way of celebrating the incredible centennial of Girl
Scouts selling cookies, Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England
hosted a very special event of "Cookies & Cocktails".
On Thursday, January 26th, over 120 guests attended a very special
evening celebrating 100 years of Girl Scouts selling cookies! Local
chefs created delicious desserts using everyone's favorite treat—Girl
Scout Cookies! We were honored to be partnered with some of Rhode
Island's best including: Cafe Nuovo, Gracie's, Mill's Tavern, Newport
Restaurant Group (Avvio), and The Capital Grille. These groups went
above and beyond to showcase our cookies "out of the box".
Attendees enjoyed passed hors d'oeuvres, a complimentary glass of
wine, tasty Girl Scout Cookie creations, and had the opportunity to
bid on both live and silent auction items. The evening was emceed by
the one and only Mario Hilario. It was an incredible evening that will
not soon be forgotten!
