It’s back to school time, which means it’s also recruitment season as we launch into the new Girl Scout troop year! At Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England (often referred to as GSSNE or “council”) we recognize that everyone (us included) is going to be experiencing a much different looking fall this year, but never fear! We have been hard at work creating new experiences and opportunities for our girls, and we can’t wait to share them with you!
We have many exciting recruitment events planned and we’d love for you to join us and learn more about Girl Scouts. Some events will be put on by GSSNE staff, and many more will be put on by area Girl Scout volunteers (we call our areas “service units”) on a more local level. Come join us for any one of our Animal Dance Parties, Make New Friends series, Facebook Live events, volunteer-led events, or join our new Virtual Troop! For a full list of our scheduled events, please see below and click on the dates that you’re interested in attending for more information and to register.
The only thing we are more excited for than all the amazing opportunities that this membership year has for us, is sharing it with you!
Animal Dance Parties
Come be our special guest for dancing, interesting animal facts, super cool animal crafts as well as some official Girl Scout fun! These virtual events for girls in grades K-3 will be hosted by GSSNE Staff.
Make New Friends Digital Drop-Ins
During these weekly virtual meetups for girls in pre-K to grade 1, we'll be sharing stories and enjoying simple activities while we engage with the younger children! Each meetup, we’ll be exploring new topics, listed below. These events will be hosted by GSSNE Staff, and you can attend as many as you would like!
Join us for a Facebook Live! You will learn all about Girl Scouts and of course, we will have some fun Girl Scout activities! Like and follow our @DiscoverGSSNE page to get notified when we're live. We look forward to seeing you there!
These in-person events are being hosted by volunteers in our service units! Check them out to learn what Girl Scouts are up to in your area. Please click each event for additional registration information.
