We would like to send a big Girl Scout thank you to The Champlin Foundation for supporting Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England with a COVID-19 grant.
The Champlin Foundation is stepping up to support Rhode Island’s COVID response by giving nonprofits a boost. Our friends at The Champlin Foundation have helped us with capital projects for years, and we’re incredibly grateful that they’ve also stepped in to support us through this extraordinary time.
While our offices are closed to customers, we are still providing services to girls and our volunteers. From virtual trainings for girls earning their Highest Awards, to a Nineteenth Amendment Patch program, a council-wide pen-pal program, and even a virtual Girl Scout Escape Room—we are putting our Girl Scout best foot forward to make these past few months a little easier and more connected for girls in our communities.
A Girl Scout can keep reaching her goals, selling cookies, earning badges and completing service projects to support those most negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. With the assistance from The Champlin Foundation, we will continue to expand our virtual programs to better connect with troops, leaders and the greater community.
Girls are witnessing our mission in action: giving back to others and making the world a better place!
