GSSNE is horrified by this week’s mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. We believe that our individual and collective responses need to move beyond thoughts and prayers towards policy and action. As an organization committed to caring for and building up children and teens, we will continue to do our part to support our Girl Scouts and build girls that have the courage, confidence, and character to stand up and lead this change we need to see in the world.
Just days after the recent shooting in Buffalo, these tragedies have left many of us upset and grieving. When tragedy strikes, we often don’t have the words to answer the "why" questions. If you are struggling to find the words to talk to your Girl Scout about this, or any recent tragedy, we invite you to read When Scary News Shakes Her World https://www.girlscouts.org/en/raising-girls/happy-and-healthy/happy/extreme-violence-and-children-parenting-advice.html#happy
