Sometimes young people don’t realize that they are facing a mental health challenge, or they feel embarrassed asking for support. That’s why it’s important for adults to learn how to support teens and offer help. In this Youth Mental Health First Aid class, you will learn a five-step action plan that will enable you to provide assistance to a teen until professional treatment is obtained or until a crisis is resolved. Completion of this course results in a three-year Youth Mental Health First Aid certificate.

You are REQUIRED to complete two hours of an online, self-paced introduction before the November 13 session begins. These materials will be sent three weeks before the November 13 session.

Webinar time of 9:00am-3:00pm on November 13 includes a 30-minute lunch break and smaller breaks.

Pre-course materials and a Zoom link will be sent prior to the program.
