At Girl Scouts, safety is paramount. This course prepares adults to respond to an emergency situation through basic first aid, CPR, and AED. This is a blended course requiring a 3-hour online component followed by a 3-hour in-person, hands-on practicum. The course provides a 2-year national certification and includes First Aid/CPR/AED. A minimum of 5 registrants are required for the class to run. GSSNE recommend that every troop has a First Aid/CPR certified volunteer for all troop meetings. Troop overnights and trips require a First Aid/CPR certified volunteer. A First Aid certified volunteer is required for outdoor days at campgrounds.
