The Smart Cycling course will give scouts the basic skills to ride more safely and confidently. Get ready to ride by learning riding tips, bike parts and maintenance, tips on riding with traffic, and the basics of e-bikes.
Taught by Licensed Cycling Instructors from Bike Newport, the course will be held at Rhode Island's first Traffic Garden, located at 120 Hillside Ave, Newport, RI, next to beautiful Miantonomi Park. Bike Newport will provide bikes and helmets for participants. If preferred, scouts are welcome to bring their own bike and helmet in good working order.
Girl Scouts will gather back at Camp Rocky Farm for s'mores by the fire
