This publication, initially released as a printed magazine for all our audiences many years ago, is now an electronic newsletter specifically dedicated to what Girl Scout alums, donors, and supporters want to know throughout the year. Winter 2025: Cookie Edition

It's the most wonderful time of the year—Girl Scout Cookie Season! The Girl Scout Cookie Program helps put profits back in the hands of youth, creates mechanisms for youth to be the decision-makers of how funding is spent, and teaches them to work both independently and as a team. Additionally, the Cookie Program helps GSSNE grow our programs so we can continue to provide amazing experiences for our Girl Scouts and volunteers.

Thankful Edition November 2024

This time of year, we have so much to be thankful for. We are thankful for working with such amazing youth, we are thankful for our dedicated volunteers, and we are thankful for YOU—our donors, alums, and supporters!

The Girl Scout year has been off to a great start! Thousands of Girl Scouts and volunteers have registered this year and have been participating in programs, trainings, and fun troop activities. Below, we'll share some of the fall's highlights and some hints about what's to come in the new year!

Spring & Summer Fun 2024

Spring and summer are special times in the Girl Scout year, where we get to experience some of what truly makes Girl Scouting special.

Spring brings bridging, Highest Awards ceremonies, and end-of-year trips. It’s a time to celebrate everything that our Girl Scouts achieved throughout the year.

Summer brings rest and relaxation, but it also brings summer camp! Summer camp is a vital and quintessential part of the Girl Scout Experience, allowing kids to get outside, try new things, disconnect, and make new friends. Now more than ever, spending time in nature is linked to many positive mental health outcomes, which is critical for youth today after the trauma of COVID and our country’s subsequent mental health crisis. GSSNE is proud to be able to continue to provide these outdoor experiences to youth in our area.

November 2023: Thankful Edition

The troop year is in full swing and we've been loving seeing what our troops are up to! Many are participating in council programs, working on badges, participating in community service projects, and making new friends (and keeping the old).

Fall 2023: Back to Troop

The new troop year has started and we're off to a great start! Since last year, our membership has shown its highest annual growth in decades. With the support of our generous supporters, we are providing more financial aid, more free memberships, more transportation, more community-based programs, more partnerships with local community organizations, and more camperships than ever before.

June 2023: Spring into Summer

At this point in the year, most troops are wrapping up their troop years, and many Girl Scouts are getting ready to enjoy summer camp! We've seen great stories from bridging troops, service projects, and some extraordinary Highest Awards projects! It has truly been an amazing year of growth, friendship, adventures, and learning. Keep an eye out on our social media channels to see some fun activities we have coming up and what our Girl Scouts are up to over the summer!

January 2023: Girl Scout Cookie Season

It's the most wonderful time of the year—cookie season! To the public, Girl Scout Cookie season is when they can buy some of their favorite treats. To Girl Scouts, these cookies are so much more than just a cookie. During the Girl Scout Cookie Program, our young entrepreneurs learn super useful life skills, gain a ton of confidence, and find out all that they're capable of. Selling cookies also means funding their own new experiences, making great friends, and joining together to change the world.
