Trouble Logging In?

Q: Why isn’t my username working?
A: Your username is typically your email address. If you have more than one email address, try each. You can also use the “Forgot Your Password?” link to send a reset email to your email address. If you’re still having trouble, contact your council’s Customer Care team.

Q: Why aren’t I getting the password reset emails?
A: The password reset emails come from gsusacustomercare@girlscouts.org, so please make sure it’s added to your safe senders list. If you requested the reset email before marking our email address as safe, check your spam folder. If you’re still not receiving the email, contact your council’s Customer Care team to verify that your username/email address is correct.

Q: How do I reset my password when I no longer have access to the email address associated with my account?
A: Your council’s Customer Care team can easily change your username/email address without requiring you to recreate your account.

Q: Why can’t I see my family when I log in?
A: There are a couple reasons this could happen:

  • Another adult family member may be listed as the preferred contact on the account. That person must log in to renew. Contact your council’s Customer Care team if you’d like to be listed as your household’s preferred contact.
  • You may have a second or duplicate account with a different email address. Try a different username. If that works, be sure to contact your council’s Customer Care team to merge the two accounts into one.

Q: Why can’t I see my troop(s) when I log in?
A: There are several reasons this could happen:

  • Troops are listed on a separate tab from your family. If you have more than one troop, look for the pull-down menu to change between them.
  • Check your member profile to make sure you’re listed as a volunteer in the troop.
  • Not all troop volunteers can access the troop tab. Check with your council to see which volunteer roles they allow to access the tab.
  • If your background check has expired, you may lose access until it is up-to-date.

Your council’s Customer Care team can provide additional support.

Renewal Instructions for Troop Leaders

As a troop leader, you can renew your girls through the online Member Community and using your troop finances.

  1. Click the green renew button above or on the yellow MYGS link in the upper right-hand corner of the navigation bar of gssne.org
  2. Log in, using your Member Profile password. Issues logging in? Email CustomerCare@gssne.org or call 401-331-4500.
  3. Select “Member Profile” from the menu.
  4. Once you are in your profile, click on your troop tab. You will see a list of all girls and adults who have been previously registered in your troop.
  5. On the right-hand side of your screen, you’ll want to select “NEXT YEAR” from the drop-down menu.
  6. You’ll see under the “Renewal Choice” heading the options to renew for those girls and adults who still need to renew for next year. Simply select “Renew Now” for each of those girls and adults who will be renewing for the coming year.
  7. If you are trying to renew a girl who has been previously registered and you are getting an error message, please do not try to add her - call us for assistance to avoid creating a duplicate record.
  8. If you are unsure as to whether a girl is returning or not, please select "Renew Later" instead of "Don't Renew-Cancel." This way, if she chooses, she can still renew at a later date.
  9. You can also add a girl or adult to your troop! At the bottom of the screen where it says “ADD A NEW MEMBER TO TROOP,” simply select girl or adult and click GO!
  10. The screens will guide you through the remainder of the process to complete your renewal for your troop.
Renewal Instructions for Families

You don't have to wait for your troop leader to renew your girl—you can do it!

  1. Click the green renew button above or on the yellow MYGS link in the upper right-hand corner of the navigation bar of gssne.org
  2. Log in, using your Member Profile password. Issues logging in? Email CustomerCare@gssne.org or call 401-331-4500
  3. Select “Member Profile” from the menu.
  4. Once you are logged in, you will see your Household Membership Screen and a list of all your family members who have been previously registered.
  5. On the right-hand side of your screen, you’ll want to select “NEXT YEAR” from the drop-down menu.
  6. You’ll see under the “Renewal Choice” heading the options to renew. Simply select “Renew Now” for each family member who is renewing for the coming year.
  7. If you are unsure as to whether a family member is returning or not, please select "Renew Later"instead of "Don't Renew-Cancel." This way, she/he can still renew at a later date.

Renewing Your Role as a Lifetime Member
As a Lifetime Member, you don't need to renew your membership each year, but you will need to renew your roles for the 2022 year. Here are the steps to renew your role(s):
  1. Log into your MyGS account.
  2. Click My Account in yellow (top right).
  3. Click My Household (left hand column).
  4. In the box that corresponds with your name, select the checkboxes of the positions you are renewing. Click Add Renewal in green (top right).
    1. If applicable, select any other renewing non-Lifetime members in your household and add them to the cart.
    2. If you are adding a brand new member, you may also do so before checking out your shopping cart.
  5. Confirm all of the member details are correct. Click Review Cart.
    1. As a Lifetime Member, the options will be preselected for you.
  6. Review the Promise and the Law (on the right), select the checkbox to confirm your agreement and click Submit.

 

 

Important:  Please remember that all girls and adults need to renew membership by July 1st in order to keep their space reserved for the next year. Troop Leaders will have access to the VTK until September 30th unless they renew their membership.
