Join GSSNE and L.L.Bean in a private class that teaches the fundamentals of recreational kayaking. This course teaches the essential skills and safety techniques for recreational kayaking, including launching and landing, paddling strokes, equipment use, safety techniques and reading weather conditions. Participants will practice with 14-foot or shorter kayaks under expert guidance, refining their paddling abilities before taking a short, guided tour. This course is designed to build confidence in first time paddlers as well as provide expert instruction to more experienced folks.
