401Gives, sponsored by United Way Rhode Island, is a statewide day of giving that is an opportunity to unite our community around causes and help nonprofit organizations fulfill their missions.
On March 31, we are asking our Girl Scout community to pitch in for the greater Girl Scout good! Throughout the day, there will be many matching gift opportunities both for the wider 401Gives nonprofit community and some specifically for GSSNE from our very generous board members, helping us to maximize every dollar donated. Here are some of the highlights for March 31:
Time | Event |
6:00 AM | The first $25,000 raised on the 401Gives site will be matched by the Rhode Island Foundation. Plus when you make a donation you will be entered into a raffle for a $50 gift card! |

United Way also has multiple random drawings throughout the day for nonprofits with the most individual donors. How great would it be if all of our Girl Scout families contribute just $10?!
If you don't want to donate on March 31, you have until Monday, April 3 at 6pm. There will be additional matching opportunities over the weekend, helping your donation go further:
Donations during 401Gives will help us provide financial aid to Girl Scouts who wouldn't be able to join or attend camp otherwise, helps us provide lower cost programming, and helps us continue to provide long-term, safe, inclusive learning spaces for our Girl Scouts.
Please mark your calendars for March 31 as a day to support Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England however you are able! If you are interested in setting up your own peer-to-peer fundraiser and being one of our Fundraising Champions, please contact CustomerCare@gssne.org and we can help with set up!
