It's no secret that Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence and character. Therefore, we are often contacted by scholarship-giving entities asking us to publicize scholarship opportunities for girls in our council—and our young alums.

Girl Scouts of the USA keeps a long list of scholarships available to Girl Scouts

Locally, most information sent to GSSNE focuses on opportunities for girls who live in Rhode Island, but the Community Foundation of Southeastern MA administers a long list of scholarships for girls in Massachusetts.

Girls Scouts of Southeastern New England (GSSNE) is thrilled to announce a new scholarship opportunity for an entering 6th grade Girl Scout to Mount Saint Charles Academy!

Full Scholarship covers the awardee from 6th through 12th grade.


  • This opportunity is available for entering Fall 2022 6th graders (new Cadettes)
  • Applicants must be current Girl Scouts in good standing through GSSNE
  • To maintain the scholarship, awardee must remain an active Girl Scout in GSSNE
  • The awardee must demonstrate a strong academic background  
  • The scholarship recipient must meet all of Mount Saint Charles’s admission criteria and maintain good standing throughout the duration of the scholarship

To Apply

  • Applications must be submitted through the online application form, which includes essay questions to connect the Girl Scout mission with your future academic goals.
  • Deadline for application is July 15, 2022!

East Greenwich Rotary Scholarship Fund

Two scholarships ($2,000 and $1,000) are awarded annually to graduating high school seniors who:

  1. Have been active members of Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts at some time during their school years.
  2. Live in East Greenwich or a contiguous community, or have been a member of a scouting unit in one of these communities.
  3. Will enroll in an institute of higher learning (college, tech program, etc.) in the fall following graduation.
  4. Submit an essay for evaluation by the East Greenwich Rotary Scholarship Fund
