Palmer River Equestrian Center is excited to
invite Girl Scouts to join in this horseback riding program! Girl
Scouts do not need to have prior riding experience to participate.
Activities will include grooming, tacking, riding, basic stable
management and most importantly, safe horsemanship. Riders will
build confidence, self-esteem, teamwork, and leadership skills that
last a lifetime! A waiver will be sent prior to the program and must
be completed to participate. Please pack gloves and wear long pants.
Boots are reccomended. All riders will be provided a safety-approved
riding helmet. This program is open to Junior and Cadette Girl
Scouts and is made possible in partnership with GSSNE and Palmer
River Equestrian Center. The minimum number of registered Girl
Scouts to run the program is 9, the maximum allowed is 12. If this
session is full, please view GSSNE's other session listings! Adults
are welcome to stay even though it is listed as a "Drop
off" program.
Juniors will earn their Horseback
Riding Badge and Cadettes will earn the new GSSNE Council's own
Cadette Horseback Riding Badge.
