Date: Sat Feb 28, 9:00 AM EST - Sat Feb 28, 3:30 PM EST
In this one-day seminar, scouts will learn the basics of
woodworking to set them up for success. Scouts will spend the day
learning how to read a plan, read a tape measure, and use basic
woodworking tools in a safe and productive manner.
The
beginning of any maker's journey is a strong foundation of knowledge
and a toolbox. Beyond learning the basic skills, scouts will be guided
through making a simple toolbox. This toolbox is something that can be
used to store tools of any craft they choose to explore in the
future.
No prior experience is necessary for
participation in this workshop, and all required tools and materials
will be provided by NEIT. Participants should bring a packed lunch and
snack as this is a 9:00A - 3:30P workshop. Cadette Woodworking badge
included. This is a drop off program.
Location: NEIT Post Road, Warwick
