Come for an educational and fun walk in the woods with
Newport Tree Conservancy! Girl Scouts will earn their eco-learner or
eco-friend badges while exploring a Newport park, learning about the
trees and creatures that live there, and discussing how they can
take care of them. Girl Scouts will discover how to be stewards of
the earth by learning Leave No Trace principles, participating in a
park clean-up, and identifying invasive plants. All of this learning
and fun will happen while practicing outdoor safety. This is not a
drop off program - an adult or afiliated troop leader must be
registered with your Girl Scout or troop. This program is weather
dependent and a rain date is set for 4/25/26.
Badges included
in the program cost. Daisies earn their Eco Learner Badge and Brownies
earn the Eco Friend Badge.
